Cellphone & BYOD Rules

Cellphone Policy

Cellphones must be switched off and stored in bags during class time. They may only be used during break times in designated areas.

  • No phone use in classrooms unless directed by a teacher
  • Phones must be on silent during school hours
  • Photography/recording of others requires consent
  • Breaches may result in the phone being confiscated for the day

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

Students are encouraged to bring a laptop or Chromebook for learning. Devices must be:

  • Fully charged before school
  • Used only for educational purposes during class
  • Connected to the school Wi-Fi (not personal hotspots)
  • Named and insured — the school is not liable for loss or damage

Recommended Devices

We recommend a Chromebook or Windows laptop with at least 8GB RAM and a 10+ hour battery. See the BYOD Setup Guide for help getting connected.
